CANADIAN EVENTS
On behalf of PAVR-O, a supporting organization, I'm pleased to share our 2011 activities for IVMD. They include:
-sending a letter to all Members of Provincial Parliament highlighting IVMD and asking for the Members' support of the work of Volunteer Engagement professionals
-on our LinkedIn group, providing a suggested status update promoting IVMD and starting a discussion thread asking group members how they are celebrating IVMD
-providing members with suggested Facebook and Twitter updates promoting IVMD and asking them to have their family, friends and neighbours "like" and repost their messages

OTTAWA ADMINISTRATORS OF VOLUNTEER RESOURCES (OAVR) is pleased to announce that we will be hosting a network event in celebration of International Volunteer Managers Day. We welcome anyone working in volunteer resources management, paid or unpaid, in the National Capital Region to join us as we raise a glass to toast our profession, say hello to new colleagues and perhaps reunite with some old friends too.

KAAAV are planning to host an IVMDay lunch on November 4. KAAAV members should keep an eye out for their invitations for this exciting celebratory event.

VOLUNTEER PRINCE GEORGE - are planning a complimentary Breakfast and Admission to the Annual Festival of Trees for our volunteer managers.
